Speeding Up Firefox

Simple Tweaks to Speed Up Firefox

On any operating system, Firefox has a few tricks up its sleeve. By typing about:config into the address bar and accepting the warning you can access a huge assortment of settings. By changing a few of these you can make a night and day difference in the speed of Firefox. I highly recommend every user of Firefox does this.
  1. Type about:config into the address bar
  2. Accept warning
  3. Change network.dns.disableIPv6 to true
  4. Change network.http.pipelining to true
  5. Change network.http.pipelining.aggressive to true
  6. Change network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to 45
  7. Profit
Those four tweaks speed up Firefox immensely and there are even more if you want to go more in depth with RAM Disk Cache and such. But thats for another post.
